India. A country as old as the civilization itself, has influences from around the world, over thousands of years. This confluence has brought colourful & ornate artifacts into the rich culture & architecture across the country.
The Lego India Project is an effort to create unique Indian experiences with lego bricks. We build & share the diverse architecture, & cultural artifacts from the sub-continent, & hope to inspire our fellow builders to together create India in the world of legos.
Few builds from this project are shared on Lego's Ideas forum, & with your support we could hopefully get few more official India themed sets, to bring into our homes.
We are a family team who just love building with Lego bricks and over the years have amassed a sizable collection. While building a few skyline sets over the holidays, we noticed the cities from India were amiss. As any builder would do, we set out to create our cities ourselves!
The India Gate is the first build we completed, following soon with the Bombay Skyline build, which hopefully becomes the first official skyline set of a city in India.
